What our records are built on

Every figure on the tracker links to a primary source. The backbone is official public records: national and local planning registers, environmental assessment registers, land registries, transmission operators' grid connection data and public procurement notices, monitored continuously, and cross-checked against operator statements, satellite imagery and hiring signals.

We publish what the documents support. Estimates are marked as estimates; rumours are labelled rumours; a project is "live" only on primary evidence.

What we cover

Hyperscale and colocation development: new campuses, phased expansions, land acquisitions, planning applications and decisions, grid connections, construction starts, contractor awards and go-lives. The tracker follows both announced projects and projects that exist only in the public record, which is where most of them start.
